I was expecting more, after the self titled album, but after 3 or 4 listens I found alot I could really appreciate.

sophomore slump?

ambitious experimental sounds. some experiments are failures, right? this just isn't very good.

worth some time, less original than the first album

if you like older modest mouse then you would probably like this album

very strange cd, and there's just one good song: satan said dance

Whether you claim to like this band and many of the bands like them, or not, someone's going to label you. I think this is mediocre at best, so therefore, I don't understand "indie" music. But I will say, even the fans say this one is a letdown.

Love this album. Its one of the great examples of why I should NEVER put off picking up a follow-up to an album I really liked just because some critics and everyone I know didn't really get into it.

A real disappointment sophomore from an excellent debut.
