I had to pull this record out of the archives after attending a Less Than Jake show recently. I saw the ad for the show a couple of weeks earlier and had a good laugh with my wife remembering going to a Less Than Jake Show in Cleveland, OH, in 1998. So nostalgia dragged us to the most recent show in Raleigh. I thought I would hang out in the back and drink a few beers.
But when I heard, some cuts of "Pezcore," I found myself in the front dancing around like a fool. The mop-headed kids attending this particular show kept calling me "oldschool." Ahhhh... I'll gladly suffer such abuse before hanging up my punk and ska collection. Sure beats listening to Pink Floyd.
Takes me back to sophomore year every time I hear it. I still can't put it down, over ten years later.
