I grew up listening to this album, but it wasn't until recently, that I realized just how influential it was to the whole progressive rock scene.
This is an amazing album that can actually change your emotions from minute to minute. Every time I listen to it, I am jolted by some amazing new sound that I didn't hear before.
This is, of course, Elton and Bernie's greatest accomplishment. It opens with the creepy instrumental, Funeral For a Friend. From this point, foreward, every song is a work of art.
This was the first tape I ever owned. My Dad gave it to me for Christmas as a little boy. I wore the first tape out and now own the cd. If any music could bring back my elementary school years, it would be this album. Every song is a blast from the past for me.
Hard to find their original albums. Excellent guitar and vocals. These guys remind me of a mixture of Rush and Triumph.
One of the greatest intros in a progressive rock album.
Nice to hear the original band in their full, progressive rock glory. Geoff has some great keyboard solos.
