Good lord! I haven't played this lp since i don't remember when. When i dug it out yesterday it was like meeting a long lost friend. It's Iggy's best (solo) album ever.
German psych/garage/freakbeat. Great album.
Great japanese beat/garagerock. Can't understand what they're singing about, but who cares! One of the best modern garagebands in years. I wanna see these guys live....NOW!!!!
Psych, garage, middle-east, blues, rhythm'n'blues, jigs, raga. All this and more by David Lindley & co. Every home needs at least one Kaleidoscope album. Buy This 3 cd box and you get their albums + singles from 1967 to 1969.
This band from Gothenburg/Sweden is best known for their appearance on the Rubbles ("Jack In The Box") and Fading Yellow (the great "King Of The World") compilations. They were more a pop and vocal group than a psychedelic band although they experienced at times with psych-pop ("Miss Judith Lee" for instance). This compilation of singles and album tracks (they released two lp's) was released by Universal (Universal 018 333-2 /2003).
While Alan Lorber was signing groups to MGM to launch his "Bosstown Sound" promotion, Bob Thiele went there for ABC and signed two groups that Lorber overlooked, Ford Theatre & Eden's Children. Eden's Children were a trio comprised of Richard "Sham" Schamach (guitar, vocals), Larry Kiley (bass), and Jimmy Sturman (drums). The album is chock full of driving fuzz guitar (and some nice jazzy solos too!), great bass riffs, and a driving beat. I've read where these guys were compared to Cream, it's true to a degree, maybe more so on their follow up lp, "Sure Looks Real".
